After two years of discussions, the Italian Parliament approved definitively new legislative measures to enhance competition.
The first field of intervention is CTP (motor third party liability). The new law provides discounts for those costumers accepting the installation of a black box on their cars. It also provides a time extension – by tacit agreement – of accessory guarantees regarding CTP (with no changes for other insurances – other than CTP).
Moreover, the intervention regulates sunset clauses in professional liability insurance policies and gives freedom to establish a society or a company for lawyers (as long as at least two thirds of the company’s shares are owned by lawyers working in the law firm)
